Tannia Schmidt

Ms. Schmidt focuses her practice on automobile accident and personal injury matters throughout California.
She has long been passionate about advocating for justice and serving as a voice for individuals who are often unheard. Throughout her career, Ms. Schmidt has demonstrated a strong commitment to public service, including extensive work with nonprofit organizations and advocacy on behalf of individuals who have been discriminated against, marginalized, or targeted within the legal system particularly minorities, women, and detainees in immigration detention centers.

About Tannia Schmidt
Prior to joining M&Y Personal Injury Lawyers, Ms. Schmidt spent approximately seven years practicing immigration law, where she developed deep experience handling complex and sensitive legal issues affecting vulnerable populations. She joined the firm in January 2026 and now represents clients in personal injury matters across California.
Ms. Schmidt’s diverse legal background gives her a nuanced and comprehensive understanding of the legal, social, and personal challenges her clients face, as well as the significant impact personal injury cases can have on individuals and their families.
Ms. Schmidt is fluent in English and Spanish.
