Allen Um

A proud alumnus of Pepperdine University, Mr. Um earned his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, laying the groundwork for his strategic and analytical approach to problem-solving. He went on to receive his Juris Doctor from the Pepperdine Caruso School of Law, along with a prestigious Certificate in Dispute Resolution from the nationally ranked Straus Institute for Dispute Resolution. During law school, he was recognized with the Dean’s Merit Scholarship and the CALI Excellence for the Future Award in Arbitration Practice and Advocacy. He also demonstrated leadership as President of the Asian Pacific American Law Student Association (APALSA), where he helped foster community and inclusivity within the legal field.

Before becoming an attorney, Mr. Um owned and operated a fast-casual seafood restaurant in Downey, California, an experience that strengthened his business acumen and work ethic. While in law school, he further expanded his legal experience by serving as a judicial extern for the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Central District of California, where he gained valuable insight into complex legal processes.

Today, Mr. Um is passionate about using his legal expertise to guide individuals and families through some of the most difficult moments of their lives. He approaches every case with compassion, diligence, and an unwavering commitment to securing the best possible outcome. He also remains active in the community and is dedicated to mentoring aspiring legal professionals.

Outside of his legal practice, Mr. Um treasures time with his wife and daughter. He is an avid golfer, basketball enthusiast, and fantasy football aficionado. A lifelong supporter of the LA Dodgers, LA Lakers, and LA Rams, he is proud to cheer on his hometown teams. As a true foodie, he also enjoys exploring new culinary experiences wherever they may be found.
