Mr. Setchell has been In-House Trial Counsel for several insurance companies over several decades and is familiar with the tactics, delays and excuses used by insurance companies to deprive victims of negligent companies and individuals of their fair and just rights. He has taken over 30 jury trials to verdict. He has worked in the Courts advising judges. He has worked with judges to mediate and settle cases. He has volunteered to assist victims’ rights at Free Clinics.
He started out as a plaintiffs’ attorney and obtained successful verdicts for plaintiffs before switching to represent insurance companies. Finally, after years of witnessing how plaintiffs’ claims were treated, he has brought his skills and experience to fight for the rights of victims of negligent acts by others.
Mr. Setchell has tried wrongful death cases, traumatic brain injury cases, and other catastrophic injury cases. Most of his cases have settled due to his ability to evaluate and analyze claims. If a person has a claim for injuries, he knows how to properly evaluate the claim quickly and convince insurance companies and their attorneys to pay the victim amounts that are prompt and fair.
He is in a unique position to know what the insurance companies and their attorneys are up to and how to persuade them. Further, he is not afraid to take cases to a jury to obtain fair and just amounts. Insurance companies, judges, and mediators know that he has the skill and experience to represent his clients aggressively. This is valuable to clients because they will all be treated fairly and will receive just compensation.
He takes pride in his clients and understands they are at a disadvantage in dealing with serious injuries against insurance companies and their attorneys. He understands that most people who are injured are not aware of the nature and extent of their injuries or the value of their claims, facts that the insurance companies and their attorneys try to take advantage of.
He is here to offer clients a clear picture of their rights and a plan to address their physical and emotional concerns.
